New bus network across Christchurch
Parents are asked to ensure they are aware of changes to the Metro network which were introduced on 8th December. The new school service routes introduced as part of the network changes are now available at metroinfo.co.nz. Timetable information on 2015 school services will be available mid January 2015. Please call metroinfo on 3 66 88 55 from mid January if you need help planning your child's travel.
Speech and Drama meeting for all intending students
There will be a Speech and Drama meeting for all students who intend taking Speech and Drama this year.
This will be at 10.30am - interval on Thursday 29th January in the Drama Theatre.
Please don't get confused as there is also a meeting for all itinerant students on Thursday at lunch time.
It is most important that you come to this meeting at INTERVAL on Thursday 29th in the Drama Theatre. Please come whether you have signed up or not and please bring a pen.

Itinernant Music and Speech and Drama meeting Thursday lunchtime
There will be a brief meeting in the Theatre at the start of lunchtime on Thursday Jan 29th for ALL girls who are having music or speech and drama lessons through the ITM programme this year. Please be prompt, the meeting will take 10 minutes.
JUNIOR CHORALE AUDITIONS YR 9/10
Auditions for girls in Yrs 9 and 10 who wish to to try out for the Junior Chorale will be held as follows:
Monday Feb 2nd - lunchtime (M2), after school (M1 - until 5pm)
Tuesday Feb 3rd - lunchtime (M2).
Sign up on the notice board in the music dept, you may audition in pairs and each audition will take 5 minutes.
Yr 10 girls who were in the J Chorale last year do not need to reaudition.
Rehearsals are on every Friday lunchtime in M1, starting on Friday Feb 13th.

Music/Speech and Drama lessons
If you wish to enrol for either music or speech and drama lessons this year application forms are in Ultranet/Forms. Your parents must sign the form, return to Mrs Kingsbury in the music department or scan the form and send by email. If you had lessons last year and are continuing with the same discipline you do NOT need to complete another form.
Most lessons will start the week beginning Feb 3rd, tutors will be in touch to arrange lesson times. Any questions please see Mrs Kingsbury
Percussion Ensembles meeting Friday interval
All students wishing to play in a percussion ensemble this year need to meet with Mr Thin at interval this Friday, 30 January, in M2. If you were in a group last year and cannot make the meeting, please email Mr Thin to register your interest.

Senior A & B netball trials and preseason fitness
All girls who are interested in trialing for the Senr A and B netball teams for the 2015 season are expected to attend a preseason fitness testing session on Monday 2nd Feb from 4pm (except girls who are rowing).
Following this, preseason conditioning will be held on Sunday 8th, 15th and 22nd February at various locations. These sessions are optional but if you are looking to improve your fitness prior to trials, it would be extremely beneficial to attend.

SENIOR SWIMMING PRELIMS
All girls who would like the opportunity to swim in more than just the clan races at the swimming sports are invited to attend the swimming prelims during lunchtime on Friday this week, and Monday next week. Please make the effort everyone to come at try out for at least one race! It certainly makes the sports day go that much faster when you are participating. :)
